Sparks, Nevada

Managed IT for Sparks businesses with a front office and a floor.

Thomas and Jakob Beach do the work from Reno and drive out to Sparks when a job needs hands on hardware. Austin Whan keeps the agreement moving. The accounts end up in your name and the setup gets written down.

Who calls us

The Sparks businesses that call.

A warehouse out I-80 toward USA Parkway. The office runs on Microsoft 365. The floor runs on shared workstations, scanners, label printers, and a Wi-Fi network somebody set up years ago, and it does not stop when the office goes home.

A machine shop off Greg Street. The office quotes and invoices. On the floor, one PC runs the software the machines depend on and cannot be updated without breaking it, and whoever "does the computers" has another job.

A contractor's yard or a clinic up in Spanish Springs whose IT provider is in Reno or out of state and never comes out, so the workaround becomes the fix.

Any of them after the last IT person left. The passwords went with him, the domain renews on his card, and nobody knows which Wi-Fi network the scanners are on. In Reno itself, read the Reno IT support page.

What you get

Six things the agreement covers.

Accounts and admin access in your name

Every account the business runs on, from Microsoft 365 and the domain to the firewall, the Wi-Fi, and the floor software, listed, moved into accounts you own, and written down. If the last IT person left with the passwords, this comes first.

Microsoft 365 administration

Mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, with multi-factor authentication on for everyone. Shared mailboxes for the shipping desk, and licenses reviewed so you stop paying for people who left. A migration to Microsoft 365 is quoted as a project.

New employee setup and departures

An office hire gets a laptop, a mailbox, and the access for the role. A floor hire gets a login on the shared workstations and a working scanner. When someone leaves, we close the accounts and change the passwords they knew.

Security review

Who has admin rights, which floor PCs share one login, what runs on the machines that cannot take updates, and what the backups contain, in a written list of the controls in place and the work still needed.

Backups and recovery

The files the business cannot lose, such as drawings, quotes, shipping records, and the accounting file, on a scheduled backup with retention settings that fit, and a restore tested with your team.

On-site visits scheduled around shifts

A visit is booked for the hour that costs your floor the least, often the shift change, and we drive out from Reno. What does not need hands on the hardware is handled remotely.

How it works here

From the first call to month to month.

The first call

You tell us what the business runs on and what is broken. We ask who set it up, who holds the admin passwords today, and what the floor cannot run without.

The written quote

We review your current IT setup and quote the handover as a defined project. Ongoing management is priced around the systems and support you need, with responsibilities and billing terms in writing. Read more about how we quote the work.

The audit

The work starts with a visit. We walk the office and the floor, list every account, device, printer, scanner, and network, and record what each one depends on. Admin access moves into your accounts as we go.

The handover, then Managed

You get written operating instructions and training, the last step on the process page. From there you either stop, with the accounts and documentation, or move to Managed and we hold it month to month: accounts, devices, Microsoft 365, backups, and the visits. Small changes are included and larger work is quoted first.

Managed IT, names left out

Our work page lists managed IT, Microsoft 365, identity, device management, security, and infrastructure, none of it attributed to a client, because client details stay private. The named project there is a website build for Rose Law Nevada. The IT work is the agreement above, and we can walk through it on a call.

Questions people ask

Before you call from Sparks.

Do you actually come out to Sparks?

Yes. We provide on-site support around Reno and Sparks, and the drive is part of the job. Visits are scheduled, usually around a shift change so the floor keeps moving, and what does not need hands on the hardware is handled remotely. Coverage and response arrangements are agreed in your proposal.

What if we already have an MSP?

We review the services you need and quote a handover with responsibilities agreed in writing. If you keep your existing provider for part of the work, we agree on who manages each system and who handles support. Administrative access stays with your business.

How is ongoing support priced?

Your monthly quote reflects the accounts, devices, and systems we will manage, along with the support coverage you need. Billing and cancellation terms are agreed in your proposal. A specific review or migration can also be quoted as a separate project.

Can you handle a shop floor plus an office?

Yes. The office side is Microsoft 365 and laptops. The floor side is shared workstations, scanners, label printers, and the one PC that cannot be updated. We document which is which, manage what can be managed, and set up shared device accounts so a shift runs without somebody's personal login.

Who do we call, and who shows up?

Thomas, Jakob, or Austin replies personally. Thomas and Jakob do the technical work, and whoever did your audit drives out to Sparks. Jakob managed IT at a fiduciary services firm. Austin keeps the agreement moving, and existing clients use the support contact in their agreement for urgent issues.
